Public Issues Director
Kathryn, a former oncology nurse and civil litigation lawyer, is the Public Issues Director for the Canadian Cancer Society, BC and Yukon Division. For the past eight years she has assisted in advocating to all levels of government to adopt healthy public policies that promote healthy living and prevent cancer. Admired by her colleagues for her passion and incredible attention to detail, Kathryn was once awarded a “Super Woman” trophy by her Health Promotion Team.

Kathryn spends her spare time skiing, practicing yoga and spending time with her two children. Her personal manifesto is influencing changes which prevent cancer from occurring.

Kathryn’s blog content will focus on the incredible impact the Society is having through influencing healthy public policies and encouraging you to join in. She will also provide “behind the scenes” insight into this important work and its potential to help prevent cancer.
